SCANEX was incorporated in January 1991. Since the company's founding with just 3 employees at a prestigious location on Galle Road Colombo 03, Sri Lanka, the company has grown to be one of the leading businesses in its field.

What once operated as a Garment Factory, is today a company very much in the forefront of Sourcing, Supplying, Selling and acting as a Representative Company in Garments. This successful operation grew at a time when there was a need for a marketing arm for the business.

In April 2001, SCANEX moved to its new location on Kynsey Road in Colombo 08, Sri Lanka. Earlier during the year SCANEX opened its first overseas office in Bangladesh.

With the Vision to provide a greater comprehensive presence in the Indian Ocean rim area. Today with offices in Mauritius, Kenya, and Madagascar, the vision has become a reality. SCANEX will continue to focus its attention on your business objectives serving you better, faster and in a more personalized manner.

Over the years, we have developed a niche market in the off-price brand label garment export sector and as result have become the largest exporters in this category to the USA.

Our off-price branded garments operation that started in Europe was later established in USA and is now active in markets in the UK as well.

Our continuous widening of sourcing capabilities in the Indian Ocean rim area has enables us to create a greater variety in product range.
